If memory serves me, the difference between #SCREENAREA# and #WORKAREA# is that screen area is the total size of your screen (e.g. If you send me a link to the skin that you want to center, i can show you :)Ĭheck out the documentation here: and in particular the #WORKAREAX#, #WORKAREAY#, #WORKAREAWIDTH#, #WORKAREAHEIGHT# built-ins as well as the #CURRENTCONFIGX#, #CURRENTCONFIGY#, etc. If you want the centering to work on any screen resolution, you can also use the built-in variables If it's a image meter, the width is 60 and the height is 40 To get the horizontal or vertical center of my screen, all i have to do is divide my screen resolution by 2. (Same for the vertical axis, subtract half of the height from Y, and you will have the center in the vertical direction) Image meters "start" at X, and then the H and W decide how far it goes from there, so if you want to center this type of meter you will have to take the X and subtract half of the width of it to get the horizontal center of the image :) By default it is aligned to the left, so the X position is slightly to the right of the text, so the string will not center unless you subtract the amount of pixels that it is positioned to the left. If the StringAlign option is "Center", it will always center on the X position. String (text) meters are positioned based on X, and the StringAlign option. The reason to why i say "Calculate" is that different kinds of meters behave differently. ini file(s), and calculating what these values should be, to place it at the center. The only way to center a skin with precision is to find the X and Y values which control the position of the skin on your screen in the skin's. Some authors add a button or some way to center their skin, but most do not. There is no "easy" way to center a skin by default. Go outside, get some fresh air, and have a good day.
